Helicopter Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering above a popular coastal coastline suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, finally losing altitude and crashing into a row of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Footage uploaded on the internet show the aircraft commencing to spiral over the beach then descending near the perimeter of the coast, where it gets stuck between palms and a set of stairs adjacent to the Pacific Coast highway.
Emergency Response Update
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the accident on that day.
Three persons on the road were harmed. Information on their condition were still under review.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
